The best way to operate with the Service is to utilise level stakes i.e. not increasing after a winner and decreasing after a loser.
There are two ways to lose at betting on horse racing. By betting dodgy selections and/or with careless money management. By using level stakes you eliminate bad money management which leaves the selection process as effectively the only force to reckon with.
We only encourage people to increase after a winner and decrease after a loser if they are attempting to build up a betting bank from which to use level stakes. But clearly operating in this way does carry associated risk.
Even though you can expect a long term strike rate of somewhere around
20% with the selections, drawn out losing runs are possible. Only those who haven't been involved in this game very long could argue against this.
We believe that, if you are bank building, the best way is to divide the bank by 40 each time to give you the 1pt stake and readjust after each selection. Dividing by 20, we believe probably carries too much risk for the average person to accept.
Because of practicalities it is not always possible to readjust your stake after each selection. This can produce a negative performance if the losing run hits before you have been able to adjust your stakes.
Dividing by 40 allows far greater protection. Of course you will not build your bank as fast during profitable periods in this way, but that is to miss the point. The whole point is about staying in the game. The selection process is more or less certain over any period of time. Don't allow your staking method to knock you out of the game when operating to level stakes would otherwise have rewarded you handsomely.
With regard to protecting your bank. Is it acceptable to bet each way? We believe this is a matter of personal choice. We do not have anything against it. Any selection which can be obtained at 4/1 or greater is generally an each-way possibility. You will certainly protect your bank better in this way as you will find the strike rate is increased. Obviously more, larger priced selections will not win compared to shorter priced selections, but plenty will place.
We do not believe that in the long term you will notice much difference whether betting win only or win and each-way. In the majority of cases We will advise win only, but you have to take responsibility for your own affairs in this matter.
This service is a relatively small concern compared against all the high profile and grotesquely over-hyped tipping services available. It is our over riding concern to keep it this way, and so we will be placing a limit on numbers. When this limit is reached there will be no more allowed in.
Let's face it why would any service that was genuinely profitable want to continually introduce new members? This would only be to the detriment of existing members. Probably this is because they are not really all that profitable.
